In this workshop we will review some best practices for searching databases like Engineering Village (Inspec & Compendex), Springer Link, IEEE, ACM and more! We will also review searching for standards on ASTM Compendex as well as how to search for physical and chemical data on Knovel and Scifinder.
This 90-minute workshop will cover the basics and best practices for managing your research data. You will learn about file organization, file naming, and data collection. We will discuss best practices for workflows and for data storage, access, and preservation. Finally, we will also talk about data security and documentation.
